Setting a Windows 2000 Machine to use the VT DHCP
These directions will show you how to convert a machine that is currently using a static IP to DHCP or just a reference for trouble shooting a current DHCP machine. |

| 1. In the Start Menu go to:
"Settings-Network and Dial-up Connections" |

| 2. Right-click on the network connection and go to "Properties" | |||||||||||||||

| 3. Next Select the "Internet Protocal [TCP/IP]" Protocol for the Ethernet card and click the "Properties" button. | |||||||||||||||

| 4. After clicking "Properties" you should see this box .
Select: "Obtain an IP address automatically" Keep clicking "OK" until all the boxes are closed. You now should reboot the machine or do manual release and renew. |
