Since SPSS is a much more powerful (and thus more complicated) software package, this tutorial will only get you as far as a basic importation of the data. For a more extensive tutorial on SPSS and its' function, see the tutorial that is included with the SPSS software package.

After exporting the data from Survey.VT.edu as a comma delimited file (Export instructions reviewed here in a separate window) you need to import your data into SPSS.

To import data into SPSS, use the "Open Existing Data Source" wizard which pops up upon starting the program. You need to select the text file created by Survey.VT.edu and click "OK" to open. When the "Open File" screen comes up, find your file and click "Open".
